SMS Consent
Text reminders from Mi Vista are optional, off by default, and never required to use the service. This page documents the exact opt-in flow and consent a user gives before any message is sent — so it can be reviewed without signing in.
Optional, off by default
A Mi Vista account can be used fully without ever enabling text reminders. In-app notifications and email reminders work independently. SMS is not enabled for any existing or new user automatically, and no message is ever sent without explicit opt-in.
Only reminders you create or enable
Mi Vista sends only transactional reminder messages for the obligations and moments a user has added or turned on. Text reminders are never used for marketing. The kinds of reminders that may be delivered include:
- Bills & subscriptions
- Home payments (rent / mortgage)
- Doctor, dental & eye appointments
- Pet / vet visits
- Document & license renewals
- Birthdays & personal moments
- Medication refills
- Deadlines
- Family & children's activities
- Travel documents & trip prep
- Self-care / spa appointments
- Court, civic & legal dates
- Taxes & financial admin
- and similar life-admin reminders a user creates or enables.
Message frequency varies based on the reminders a user creates or enables.
How a user opts in
The only way to enroll a mobile number for text reminders is inside the app:
- Sign in to your Mi Vista account.
- Open Settings → Reminder delivery.
- Enter a mobile number in international (E.164) format, e.g. +1 555 123 4567.
- Separately check the SMS consent checkbox. It is unchecked by default and is not bundled with email, in-app notifications, Terms acceptance, or any other consent.
- Save your delivery settings.
Text reminders stay off until both a valid number and the consent checkbox are in place. A user can turn them off at any time in the same place, or by replying STOP to any message.
